Social Impact and Innovation Hosts: Human Trafficking in the USA

Social Impact and Innovation hopes to see UC San Diego as the champion and leader in creating a nationwide awareness on this critically important and tragic social issue. An awareness created through interactive story telling of actual trafficked survivors, played and shared by students for students, staff, and faculty.

The event will be sponsored by Social Impact and Innovation, UC San Diego. The complete program is one and a half hours with Q/A. The story telling of human trafficking will be followed by a heartfelt performance of song by a survivor, Buki Domingos sponsored by Alliance4Empowerment. Through this program, they aim to build confident, courageous, compassionate, aware, and knowledgeable future leaders. Leaders who believe that leading with a cause will bring lasting transformational leadership.
Their vision is to reach all constituents of the campus by the end of 2017. Together they seek to be “ The Source of Change” within the campus and in the USA.
The program will be at:
Great Hall in ERC
Tuesday April 25th, 2017
beginning at 4pm
