Course Offering @ UCSD Extension

There’s a new course offering at UCSD Extension that may be of interest to current students at UC San Diego called: Directed Studies in the Recruiting Process.

This class will introduce students to recruiting practices and the perspectives and activities of the HR department, the hiring manager, and the job seeker. The course will also look at special considerations present in the recruiting and hiring of workers in the U.S and abroad.

After completing this course, students will be able to answer the following questions:

  1. What are commonly used recruiting devices?
  2. How do employers plan for and conduct recruiting activities?
  3. How does a job seeker prepare to find a job?
  4. How can a job seeker leverage knowledge of the recruiting process to increase the odds of securing employment?

This is a three-day intensive course running on October 14, 15, and 21 beginning at 9:00 a.m. and ending at 4:00 p.m. each day. Anyone interested can enroll by clicking here. Current and former UC San Diego students, can also receive an additional $50.00 off the tuition fee with the discount code: “UCSDstudent
