Business Librarian @ Rady & EMIS Intelligence Resource

This is the last week for on-site drop-in hours with the librarian for the quarter (today from 12:30-2pm in Room 2N127). These sessions will resume again on Wednesday, April 5.

Outside of these drop-in times, I remain reachable for help by email or by appointment. Please don’t hesitate to contact me directly with your questions.

Did you know?

At this time, I’d like to highlight an ‘oldie but goodie’ subscription database in our collection called EMIS Intelligence (Emerging Markets Information Service). It has a new look as the product platform has gone through enhancements to make it more user-friendly over the last few months, plus, this morning I got word from the vendor that they now have mobile apps available. Details on what’s in the standard web version and how to get to mobile are below. If you haven’t taken a look at it lately, or if you’ve never tried it, take a look.

EMIS Intelligence,

This powerful market intelligence service offers information on macroeconomics, companies, industries, finance, and news from East Asia, Latin America, Eastern Europe, Central Asia, Middle East and Africa. Its contents include full-text news articles, research reports, and online data. For example, there are hundreds of “in-country” news and industry publications, many in languages other than English. Its China coverage is particularly good. Statistics, market reports, company financials, bank and brokerage house commentaries, and other wonders also lurk within. Former name: ISI Emerging Markets.
