SHPE San Diego is excited to invite everyone to our 2nd Annual Noche de Ciencias (Family Science Night) at the Jacobs Center for Neighborhood Innovation! This year’s theme is Robotics and we are excited to have Mr. Lorenzo Santillan as our honored guest speaker, a Dreamer from Mexico and a member of the inspirational robotics team from Phoenix, Arizona who’s story is portrayed in the movie Spare Parts with George Lopez and Carlos Pena.

El tema de este año es Robotica y estamos emocionados de tener el señor Lorenzo Santillan como nuestro orador especial. 4th Annual TriNet Challenge

UC San Diego’s Rady School of Management, Jacobs School of Engineering and the Scripps Institution of Oceanography, and through the generosity of The William and Kathryn Scripps Family Foundation Inc., are pleased to present the Triton Innovation Network (TriNet) Challenge.

Now in its fourth year, the TriNet Challenge competition spotlights commercially promising, environmentally focused technologies generated by UC San Diego’s finest minds. Students, faculty and staff from across campus will pitch their compelling, innovative ideas to a panel of expert judges in an attempt to win $11,000 in funding.

Commercial Real Estate Development Scholarship Opportunity – Deadline is Nov. 12


The Urban Studies and Planning Program in Social Sciences has built a fabulous relationship with the National Association for Industrial and Office Parks (NAIOP—Commercial Real Estate Development). Although UC San Diego does not currently have an undergraduate real estate program, we do have students interested in the industry. This scholarship could be a fabulous opportunity, not only in financial support but also in providing a professional network through a NAIOP membership.


Two scholarships awarded – $2,000 | each scholarship
