Ninth Annual Business Language Case Competition

Business LanguageTransparent

Dear UC San Diego Students,

Congratulations! You’ve been selected to bring a team and participate in this year’s Ninth Annual Business Language Case Competition hosted by Brigham Young University on Thursday – Friday, November 12-13, 2015. This competition provides undergraduate business students with a great opportunity to showcase their theoretical business knowledge and foreign language skills while sharpening their presentation skills with real-life global business situations.

This competition is open to undergraduate students who have a high level of competency in either Spanish or Mandarin Chinese. Teams should consist of three non-native speakers and they will be given an international business case and asked to create a business solution and presentation for the case, completely in their chosen language. New this year participants will have an opportunity to tour the production facility of our sponsor Blendtec, and learn about their supply chain and international business model. We will also be offering a team building activity and lunch at Sundance Resort.

International business professionals will serve as judges to help students improve their skills and take away new knowledge from this experience. Students will also have a chance to network with leaders from top companies to learn more about what they are looking for in future business leaders.

Registration ends 16 October 2015. For more information on the competition you can visit our website.
