Social Media Intern

Social Media Intern needed part time for, and, approx 10 hours/week. ($15/ hr).

Job brief

I am looking for a driven Social Media Intern to attract and interact with targeted virtual communities and networks users.

The goal is to gradually achieve superior customer engagement and intimacy, website traffic and revenue by strategically exploiting all aspects of the social media marketing roadmap.


  • Build and execute social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification
  • Generate, edit, publish and share daily content (original text, images, video or HTML) that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take action
  • Set up and optimize company pages within each platform to increase the visibility of company’s social content
  • Moderate all user-generated content in line with the moderation policy for each community
  • Create editorial calendars and syndication schedules
  • Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and then acting on the information


  • Proven experience in social media
  • Excellent consulting, writing, editing (photo/video/text), presentation and communication skills
  • Demonstrable social networking experience and social analytics tools knowledge
  • Adequate knowledge of web design, web development, CRO and SEO
  • Knowledge of online marketing and good understanding of major marketing channels
  • Positive attitude, detail and customer oriented  with good multitasking and organisational ability

National Investment Banking Competition 2016

We would like to invite Undergraduate and Graduate students to compete in the 2016 National Investment Banking Competition. Over the past six years, NIBC has grown to become the most prestigious finance competition in North America. The principle focus of the Competition is to provide students with the opportunity to learn and apply practical skills relevant to investment banking on an international stage and in front of senior industry professionals. The Competition aims to exhibit a realistic scenario where students will gain insight into the daily responsibilities of both junior and senior investment bankers. Finalists will have the chance to present their work in a live pitch to a panel of judges comprised of Managing Directors from leading North American investment banks, while competing for a $15,000 prize pool.

Last year, 379 teams from over 100 universities across North America, Asia, and Europe participated including:

U.S. Partners: Wharton, NYU (Stern), Yale, MIT, Stanford, Columbia, Chicago (Booth), Cornell (Johnson), Dartmouth College (Tuck), Duke (Fuqua), UC Berkeley (Haas), UCLA (Anderson), Northwestern (Kellogg), Michigan (Ross)

Evening with Expert: Babak Forutanpour

Topic: From a Napkin Sketch to a Successful Kickstarter

In this presentation, Babak Forutanpour will share his motivation for wanting to create the world’s best ball, and how he took the idea through several rounds of prototyping, to finding a manufacturing partner overseas, to launching a successful Kickstarter, to having Arya Ball picked by NBC Today Show as Hot New Toy for 2014, to landing a deal with Daymond John of ABC’s hit TV show Shark Tank, all in one year. Babak will explain the principles behind the lean start up model, value of patents, importance of guerrilla marketing, and why you don’t have to quit your day job to be an entrepreneur.

Startup Weekend Los Angeles

Art Museum Day 2015!

MCASD La Jolla & Downtown

Come enjoy free admission and special programming all day long as we celebrate Art Museum Day with the Association of Art Museum Directors (AAMD), coinciding with International Museum Day.

College students (and anyone else in need of R&R!) are invited to take a break from their stressful week at Finals Escape: College Afternoon with food trucks, music, yoga, and exhibition tours all day!

MCASD Downtown will offer free exhibition tours of Gravity and Grace: Monumental Works by El Anatsui, bites from Currywurst food truck, and live performances by UCSD student band I literally could not feel my entire limb.

At MCASD La Jolla, guests will enjoy free tours of Dear Nemesis, Nicole Eisenman 1993-2013 and SARAH CAIN blue in your body, red when it hits the air, fare from La California food truck, live acoustic music by James Ledbetter, and art-making activities with Project Artivism.

Yoga and meditation sessions will be led by Raja Yoga at both Museum locations as well, with the session at MCASD La Jolla beginning at 11:30 AM on the outdoor terrace overlooking the Edwards Family Sculpture Garden. The downtown session will begin at 2 PM in the Berglund Room on the second floor of MCASD Downtown. B.Y.O.M. (bring your own mat) and arrive early!

BONUS: The college with the most attendees at Finals Escape will receive free tickets to MCASD’s upcoming TNT (Thursday Night Thing) on July 16 at the Museum’s downtown location!
